Father's Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day is around the corner, and if you’re anything like us, it may have snuck up on you.  Don’t worry – we are here to help.  We’ve rounded up a few of our top Duck Head picks for Dad as well as some complementary pieces to help you save time searching and spend more time thanking him for all of his love and support.

The Golfer:

Playing golf these days is not quite the same – leaving flagsticks in the hole and sand traps unraked is a different kind of etiquette, but nonetheless, golf remains an outlet for many to escape from reality.  To help your Dad stay cool out there, try our newly released Hayes Performance Polo.  It is the perfect blend of style and comfort for a day on the course. If you are looking for something personalized, try a hand stamped ball marker with his favorite team logo or his initials.  Does your Dad need some help staying refreshed without a heavy load? Try an iceless cooler to keep your drink of choice the perfect temperature.

The Foodie:

Being the foodie he is, we’re sure your Dad has a refined taste in beer. Pair a set of our Duck Head Pint Glasses with a six-pack of his favorite local seasonal brew.  All that is left to do is pop the top and enjoy.  If your Dad loves to cook, give him a pre-seasoned, made in the U.S.A. cast iron skillet.  Cast iron skillets are the workhorse of the kitchen and add flavor to any recipe.  But if he prefers tasting over cooking, try Charleston’s own Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits.  They have rounded up a collection of savory favorites for the perfect Father’s Day Gift Box. Each box includes a dozen country ham biscuits, a slab of Edwards bacon, a bag of cocktail pecans, and your choice of traditional or fiery pimento cheese.  This is sure to make for an incredibly delicious Sunday breakfast to remember.

The Sportsman:

Is there a better way to spend Father’s Day than an early morning fishing trip? While the mornings are still cool, give Dad a pair of our best-selling 1865-Five Pocket Field Canvas Pants.  They’re durable for a fishing or hunting trip while the classic fit and breathable canvas fabric lends itself to everyday wear.  If your Dad enjoys heading to the coast for deep sea fishing expeditions or riding an ATV through the farm, try a rugged portable speaker that’s waterproof, dustproof, as well as impact and corrosion-resistant.  He’ll be sure to enjoy the company of his favorite tunes.  If he’s more into upland sporting, try a new swivel hunting chair – he’ll be all set for the next season to start.

The Dad Who Has Everything:

Dads can never have too many belts, and our 1865 Needlepoint Belt is a collector’s piece.  It’s the perfect gift for the Duck Head loving Dad who seems to have everything else.  If a belt doesn’t hit the mark, every true gentleman needs a stationery set for handwritten notes.  Find a design that reflects your Dad’s unique personality. (We will be purchasing the flying mallard set for ourselves and our Dads.) Your Dad may have all of the gadgets he can handle, but his space may need a little updating.  A unique art print with the social sportsman in mind could be the perfect touch for his office or man cave.

For the Fashion Forward Dad:

Your Dad is sure to stand out from the rest in our Indigo Stripe Polo. Practical and interesting, this lived-in, down to earth look features a functional pencil pocket on the left chest and fisheye pearl buttons.  Whether your Dad is well-traveled or just enjoys one of a kind pieces, vintage hand-woven loafers or a handcrafted belt buckle could be just the unique piece his closet is missing.

No matter what kind of Dad you are looking for this Father’s Day, we hope you and your loved ones have a beautiful day of celebration.
