Fourth of July Activity Guide

With a 3 day holiday in store this year, the 4th of July weekend will stretch out nicely offering up plenty of time for multiple activities. Here we provide a “what to DO”, “what to WEAR”, and “what to EAT” Activity Guide for celebrating in red, white, and blue style — no matter what you choose to pursue on this favorite American holiday.

Run:

...in the local Stars and Stripes 5K.

Wear:

…the Duck Head Circle Patch Twill Hat in Navy  to protect you from that early morning sun and the Monoline Duck Short Sleeve T- Shirt in Rosewood Red  to show your patriotic colors.

Eat:

…a stack of flapjacks smothered in whipped cream with strawberries and blueberries. Chase it with a cold vanilla milkshake.  You’ve earned it!

Float:

...in a kayak along the banks of the Chesapeake Bay.

Wear:

…the Grayton Cross Paddle Short Sleeve Tee Shirt in White  with a pair of the 7” Gold School Chino Shorts in Blue Fog

Eat:

....locally, of course, with a heaping helping of crab cakes and a cold pilsner to wash them down.

Grill:

...for the entire neighborhood or just your beach crew. The 4th is the ULTIMATE grilling holiday so we say go for it!

Wear:

Pull on the 9” Gold School Chinos in Weathered Red  and our Oxford Button-Down. Top it with a Circle Patch Trucker Hat in Mineral and you’re good to go — and to grill.

Eat:

...we highly recommend the Big Green Egg’s Brisket Chili Hot Dogs.

Putt:

...and drive and chip away at 18 holes today. You’ve got all the time in the world...

Wear:

…the Harbor Performance Chino in Slate Blue  and the Hayes Performance Logo Polo in Rio Red. Pull it all together with the Navy Waxed Canvas Belt

Eat:

...pimento cheese sandwich and a vodka-spiked iced tea at the 19th hole.

March:

...in a parade to really get in the spirit.

Wear:

…the Walton Performance Gingham Shirt in Rio Red  and the 7” Gold School Chino Short in Navy. If you’re marching in a slightly cooler location you might want to pull on a 1/4” Dunmore Pullover in Lake Blue

Eat:

...iced cold lemonade and cherry pie. What could be more American?

Climb:

...to the top of that mountain. Yes THAT one!

Wear:

…the 8” Pinecliff Organic Cotton Short in Stone with the Mountain Patch Stone T-Shirt in Spruce and the Sanforized Patch Trucker Hat in Gold

Eat:

...if it’s just you then trail mix and plenty of water. If you’re a team leader then divvy up the duties. Think store bought cold fried chicken, potato chips, watermelon, S’mores fixins’ and chilly beverages in green bottles. Looks like you’re going to need a Duck Head Wrench Bottle Opener too...

We hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday!
